Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the site operator.

We also use similar technologies such as web beacons, pixel tags and local storage, which function in analogous ways. For simplicity, we refer to all of these collectively as 'cookies' in this policy.

We use four categories of cookies on the Greengate website and web app:

• Strictly necessary cookies: Required for the site to function. They enable core features like secure sign-in, page navigation and access to protected areas. These cookies do not collect information that could be used for marketing and cannot be switched off.
• Performance cookies: Help us understand how visitors interact with our site by collecting anonymised analytics data — pages visited, time spent, errors encountered. We use this data to improve the product.
• Functionality cookies: Remember your preferences — language, currency display, notification settings — so you don't need to reconfigure them on every visit.
• Targeting cookies: Used to deliver relevant content and, where applicable, advertising. These are only placed with your explicit consent.

• gg_session — Session authentication token. Strictly necessary. Expires at end of session.
• gg_prefs — Stores your language and display preferences. Functionality. 12-month expiry.
• gg_analytics — Anonymised visit identifier for our internal analytics. Performance. 6-month expiry.
• _vercel_insights — Anonymised performance data collected by our hosting provider, Vercel. Performance. Session.

Some cookies are set by third-party services that appear on our pages. We have no control over these cookies. Currently, third-party cookies on the Greengate site may be set by our analytics provider (anonymised, no cross-site tracking) and by our customer-support chat widget.

We do not use third-party advertising networks that track you across other websites without your consent.

When you first visit the Greengate website, you will be presented with a cookie banner that lets you accept, reject or customise non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the 'Cookie settings' link in our footer.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse new cookies, delete existing cookies, and set preferences for specific websites. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent some features from working.

• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Some browsers offer a 'Do Not Track' (DNT) signal. Greengate currently does not respond to DNT signals as there is no consistent industry standard for how they should be interpreted. We rely on the cookie consent mechanism described above instead.

We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices change or as laws require. We will notify you of material changes through our website or by email. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
